选择标准

  • 展品 should demonstrate educational and informational importance, relevance to 图书馆 collections or university curriculum, 以及广泛的吸引力.

  • Artifacts from the 大学图书馆 档案 and 特殊的集合, 学生工作, or with unique materials or artifacts, and/or a relationship to other events in the community, 是首选.

  • There is to be no charge for viewing the exhibit, i.e., no fees, contributions, or money may be collected in the 图书馆.
  • Final approval for acceptance is at the sole discretion of the 大学图书馆.

  • Exhibitors will prepare all labeling and signage for the exhibit, which will include information identifying the sponsoring individual or group. Exhibitors must obtain approval on all labeling and signage 10 business days before 安装.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for the maintenance of the exhibit, including but not limited to cleaning, 维修, 和调整, 在整个过程中.

    • Once approved, provide a list of exhibit materials using the template 提供. Download a copy of the template to prepare for submission. The template must include identifying information (metadata), 版权审查, 扫描/文件信息

提案的过程

  1. Exhibitor reads the 大学图书馆 展览的指导方针.
  2. Exhibitor submits their proposal via the online 展览建议表格.
  3. 大学图书馆展品委员会会及时批准或否决有关建议, based on the Exhibit Criteria for selection and space availability. Exhibitor is contacted with a decision.

Spaces

The following areas are currently approved exhibition areas in the 大学图书馆; exhibit proposals for other Spaces will generally be rejected.

Funding

Exhibitors are solely responsible for Funding all costs associated with the exhibit, including but not limited to shipping, 安装, 拆除, 保险, 以及相关activities. Other arrangements require special approval.

Publicity

安装与security

展品 are often located in high traffic areas whose visibility reduces the likelihood of damage or theft of materials; however, the 图书馆 takes no responsibility for the security of exhibits at any time, 包括运输期间, 安装, 或拆除. Any theft, loss, or damage must be reported to the University Police.

Duration

展品 must have specific start and end dates, although the end date may be extended if the schedule allows. 根据经验, exhibits should be on display for one semester, although shorter exhibit times are permissible with prior approval. The 大学图书馆 maintains the right to cancel an exhibit at any time.

支持materials
